Screenwriter 6.2 now supports importing your native Final Draft script files. You can also export the old format to the new one, by going to “File – Export to – Screenwriter XML”. You can define which of the formats in Screenwriter you want to use as a default, the new one or the old one, just go to the “Preferences” dialog, click “Files” and select which format you’d like to use when creating new documents or when opening old ones. Write Brothers haven’t announced a date yet when the Windows version will be updated as well. Some third-party apps support importing and exporting the new MMX file format.Ī word of caution though, the new MMX file format is presently not compatible with the Windows version of Screenwriter.
